WEEKLY ROUND UP - 13.09.2015 - 19.09.2015

I thought I would just write a little post rounding off my what and sharing what I've been up to. I'll try and do these posts as often as I can but, due to a certain 'student schedule' that I'll be receiving soon, I may not be able to write one of these posts every week.

Sunday was a pretty average day. Not much went on apart from the usual movie watching and laying in bed all day. I visited my Grandmother's house for a cooked dinner. I don't know if other countries outside the UK know what a cooked dinner is, so I'll explain just in case. A cooked dinner is obviously 'cooked' it usually has a portion of meat, the most popular probably being chicken or beef and a selection of veggies more than likely including, potatoes, carrots, peas etc which is all covered in gravy. It's basically just a dialled down version of a Christmas dinner or a Thanksgiving dinner and it is most commonly eaten on the Sunday of every week. I'm not sure why this is but, I'm assuming it's something to do with the lack of stuff to do on Sunday and the length of time it takes to cook the meat. I watched a BBC adaption of 'An Inspector Calls' a brilliant play that everyone should read.

Monday was again a pretty boring day. I literally did nothing but eat my weight in food. There's really not much else to say!

Tuesday I went out with my Grandfather and bought a few little bits for my University room. We went to Dunelm to buy this stuff ( a homeware store) which is probably a little pricey for a Uni room but, I just think that I won't need to buy anything next year because I will have good quality stuff! So win win for me I guess! I picked up two ginormous cushions for my bed which I am completely in love with and a bedside lamp because I need light! We went to a cafe for a cup of tea and hot chocolate. I don't like tea or coffee so hot chocolate was the only option. It was so nice and I later ate an eclair. Fitness geeks are probably screaming 'THATS TERRIBLE FOR YOU!!' at their screens now but I don't care, it was delicious.

On Wednesday I went to lunch with my mother in town and had a Costa hot chocolate and a basil, mozzarella and tomato panini which I would definitely recommend to anyone! Obviously, this wasn't the healthiest week for me as later that evening I went for a meal with friends and had chips and a crispy chicken breast with Peri Peri sauce. I honestly have no idea what Peri Peri sauce is but, it is delicious. I said goodbye to a very close friend that night as she was off to University a day later and it was difficult but, we had an amazing time and created some hilarious memories so I hope she is having an amazing time right now!

Thursday I had my hair cut and coloured. I had a blonde colour put onto the ends of my hair and I'm very happy with it . I hate how long it takes in the hairdressers though! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the end result but, having to sit in a chair for hours is a complete nightmare! I came home and had a nap and that was pretty much it!

There's not much to tell about Friday either! I went into town and picked up a few things. That was pretty much it!

Today, Saturday, is my final Saturday at home before I head off for uni next week which is completely crazy! It's come around so fast! I went to the city today to buy a few new pieces of clothing for Uni which I might write up into a 'University Fashion Haul' thing or something! I had to buy a dress because we're having a Freshers Ball on the final week of Freshers. Freshers is basically every new student at the University partying and getting drunk for a week. ( This happens at every University by the way! Haha) It took forever to find a dress but, I finally got one and I also got some lovely heeled shoes to go with it. I'm just writing this blog post now and then I will be going to eat some of my Father's homemade lasagne with my family before settling in for a night of movie watching.

I hope you enjoyed this style of blog post! Let me know in the comments what you thought! Also, I now have a dedicated e-mail address so any business enquires can be sent there as well as colab requests and post requests! My email is

Saying goodbye is difficult.

In just under a week, I will be moving to University, a huge step in anyones life but, even bigger for a small town girl such as myself. With only a few close friends, friends I've been with since I was three,  the prospect of having to say goodbye to them was daunting to say the least. These friends have been my support network for so long that I honestly don't know how I'm going to survive not seeing them everyday. Many people may say 'Oh, your overreacting! You'll see them again!' but it isn't really the same, is it? We will never be in the same situation as we are now ever again. That's huge! We are all going to be living miles and miles apart, at least a two to three hour drive from each other. For people that are used to seeing each other, everyday, for the past fifteen years, this is a massive change in our lives.

I never realised quite how difficult it would be to say goodbye to my friends. Tonight, Wednesday 16th September 2015, I said goodbye to my very close friend, Harriet. I've known Harriet for so long and I can't even describe how difficult it is waving that person off into their new venture? New Life?. She will be living about a three hour drive away from me which is crazy and there's always a fear that when a friend moves away that you will be forgotten and that they will prefer their new friends but, I think it is important to remember that you were a huge part of that persons life as they were a huge part of your life and thats got to mean something and if you feel like you are forgotten were you really as close as you thought you were?

So, if Harriet is reading this I would just like to say, thank you for being the most amazing friend, I hope you have the most amazing time at University. Don't forget me and make sure you call me when you can! I'll see you soon and Good luck with your first year!

Hello and Welcome to Rhian Blogs!

If you haven't guessed already, my name is Rhian. I'm 18 years old and I'm going to be studying English Literature and Publishing at University this September.

I've had a few blogs in my time and whilst I've been completely committed to them at the beginning I quickly lost interest because I couldn't come up with material that suited my blog and it's audience and I wasn't really all that interested in what I was blogging about.

I decided that I would love to vlog but, being quite self-concious, I wasn't completely comfortable with it. I decided therefore, to start a blog with the same concept as a vlog in mind but, without having to show my face everyday.

This blog is going to be a place for me to share my opinions, my thoughts, my dreams, my everyday life and pretty much anything else. I'm not going to label or define this blog as a 'Fashion blog' or an 'Advice blog' or a 'Healthy living blog' because I won't really fall into any categories. Whilst I may talk about these things sometimes, my blog isn't completely committed to those subjects.

On this blog I intend to document my university experience, my everyday life and the people in my life. This is going to be an important creative outlet for me and I'm excited to finally be writing about what I'm actually excited about, my life.

So whether you decide to continue to read my blog or whether you've had enough of me already, I wish you well and thank you, for being my very first readers!
